KBNO (1280 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Regional Mexican format. Licensed to Denver, Colorado, USA, it serves the Denver-Boulder area. The station is currently owned by Latino Communications, LLC.
In September 1999, Zee Ferrufino sold the station to Crawford Broadcasting, which changed the call letters. In late 2000, Ferrufino's company, Latino Communications, bought station KVOD from Clear Channel for a reported $3.3 million. Ferrufino renamed the station, to KBNO, said that he planned to rehire numerous former KBNO personalities to play what he called "Mexican regional music," among other styles.[1]
